1 day: Arrival to Santorini, accommodation at the hotel.

2 day: AKROTIRI & WINE TASTING

Visit the prehistoric city of Akrotiri born yet back in around 3500 BC and buried in volcanic ash & pumice after the strongest volcanic eruption in the human history which took place in about 1620 BC and destroyed the Minoan civilization in Crete. This eruption changed the climate on the whole planet and destiny of some nations. The city of Akrotiri was discovered again, in perfect condition, only in 1967, by the Greek professor Marinatos. You will see a way of life of a highly developed society, today uncovered to the visitor, walk right by the prehistoric two and three storeyed buildings and hear a wonderful story of people living thousands years ago.  We continue the day with a walk to the famous Red Beach. Time for swimming. After that we visit the vine yards of Santorini where we can taste delicious local wines. The wine has been produced in the island from prehistoric times! You will see the special way the vine is growing here and we guarantee that you will never forget the taste of the world recognized wines of Santorini! Return to the hotel.

3 day: OIA -VOLCANO – HOT THERMAL SPRINGS – DINNER WITH WINE AT THE SUNSET
After breakfast we depart to the most beautiful settlement of Santorini: Oia. Colourful houses built right on the top of the rim, traditional architecture together with the deep blue sea, volcano and the surrounding islands on the background form a dramatic landscape. Each corner of this wonderful place is a piece of art on its own!  People from all over the world arrive here to admire the world famous Oia sunsets. We will enjoy a lunch by the pool next to the beach on our way to Fira, then we will take a cable car to get down to the old port to depart on an afternoon cruise to the volcano. We will disembark right on the volcano and will walk along its craters. Then we will stop for swimming in hot thermal volcanic springs followed by dinner with wine watching the beautiful sunset right from the boat! In the evening return to the port of Fira and transfer to the hotel.

4 day: ANCIENT THIRA – PERISSA

After breakfast we depart right to the top of the highest mountain of Santorini to visit the ancient city of Thira. After that we’ll get down to Perissa, see the ruins of the Byzantian church of St. Irini, have a lunch and time to rest & swim. Return to the hotel.

5 day: FIRA – SKAROS

We take a walking tour along the capital of Santorini Fira and visit the Prehistoric Museum of Fira to see the wonderful frescos, pottery and findings from the prehistoric city of Akrotiri. Lunch and a short rest. Around 16:00 we will start a hiking tour from Fira to Imerovigli passing by the picturesque road connecting Fira with Firostefani. We reach Imerovigli and start descending the slope between the white picturesque houses and hotels and the black, brown and red volcanic rocks to get to the path leading up to the enormous Skaros rock, once being a volcano. In middle ages, when Santorini was occupied by Franks and the pirates were attacking the islands of the Aegean Sea, the most important castle on the island stood here and Skaros was the capital of Santorini. There were many houses built right on the rock, and you can still see some remains of the walls. Later on Skaros was abandoned and a new capital of the island was found, Fira. We walk around the rock and then return to Imerovigli to admire the sunset. Return to the hotel.
6 day: Departure transfer to port or the airport and return back home or continue discovering Greece or Europe.
